1.16.10 Preserve.

All pictures were taken on a trail, less than 1 mile long, through the Barataria Preserve, a part of the Jean Lafitte National Historic Park and Preserve. Amazing that such a diverse landscape could be captured in a trail less than 1 mile long, and only 20 minutes from the French Quarter.

11.16.09 Day trip to Jean Lafitte Park

Jean Lafitte National Historical Park is part of Louisiana's Mississippi Delta Region. There are several sections to the park, all located throughout Louisiana. Above is from the Barataria Preserve, just on the other side of the Mississippi River, about 25 minutes from Uptown New Orleans. Oui oui, alligator!
